About Me

Bonjour! My name is Françoise Estève, a.k.a. "French Fry". I started studying Yoga and Dance at age 7 in my native France. I've taught DansKinetics® since 1993, sharing my passion for movement, spirituality, ritual and play with a wide range of people. Over the course of my life-long involvement with movement, I've taught adults, teens and preschoolers, and have had the privilege of studying with master teachers Yvon Achard, Ned Williams, Jill Doornick, Connie Miller, Uriel West, Nateshvar Ken Scott, Gabrielle Roth, Zuleikha, Victoria Cristgau, Megha, Emilie Conrad, Todd Norian and others. I'm a member of the DansKinetics team at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Lenox, MA, and currently lead ongoing classes and workshops in Connecticut. I'm also an active member of MAC - Moving Arts Collaborative, an improvisational and intergenerational dance group in Greenwich, Connecticut.

In addition to my DansKinetics and YogaRhythmics certifications, I've completed Partner Contact Yoga and Chakra Yoga Teacher training intensives at Kripalu Center. I have also taught and assisted many programs there. I'm also trained in Pilates Mat Science I and II, am certified in Zumba®, and have done volunteer work at the Bronx Psychiatric Hospital and taught movement to the inmates at the women's prison in Bedford, NY. I've also facilitated Meditation in Motion classes for women recovering from substance abuse at the Westchester County Medical Center, and worked as a volunteer and with girls of all grades at East Ridge Middle School, Ridgefield, CT.

I am currently living in France and spending time with family. I have a 23-year-old daughter, Garance, who's currently studying Illustration at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.
